Sweet Apple Village 1st Annual Fall Festival and Food Drive benefiting North Fulton Community Charities!

Saturday November 7th was a perfect sunny fall day for the first annual festival at Sweet Apple Village.  Over 20 vendors from The Atlanta Foundation for Public Spaces were present to sell artists crafts and wares.  There was a hay ride, facepainting, a moon walk and slides for the kids and a DJ spinning music.  Over 30 prizes donated by the merchants at Sweet apple Village were given away to attendees, and an estimated crowd of 600 people showed to enjoy the perfect weather and the fun activities.

Food and money was collected and donated to North Fulton County Charities.  See their web site (www.nfcchelp.org) for further information. Be sure and watch our calendar here at www.sweetapplevillage.com for the next holiday event coming soon.  Thanks to everyone for your support, and based on the attendance and all the positive feedback we received, we will be sure to run this event again next year!

Sweet Apple Village Supports Sweet Apple Elementary!

Sweet Apple Village has donated $1000.00 in support of school’s Fall Fair over the past two years, and has engaged in an active partnership with the school to support t heir activities, from overflow parking to bring the school’s performance choir over to the JW Hughes Pavilion at Sweet Apple Village, to providing classes for School aged children at the My Clayground Pottery Studio opening in December.  On Friday, December 6th Sweet Apple hosted the school’s Movie Night, showing Monsters vs. Aliens on the big screen at the pavilion.  Over 100 parents and students were in attendance, with free popcorn, and food provided by Shane’s Rib Shack available.  Watch the events calendar for the next movie date to be announced.  We are looking to show “How the Grinch Stole Christmas” sometime in early December in coordination with our holiday event.

Sweet Apple Village Sponsors the Starting Line for The Second Annual Big Pumpkin Run!

Sweet apple Village sponsored the start line banner for the Second Annual Big Pumpkin 5K Run.  The race was held on Halloween this year and had a full slate of 1500 runners, who ran in support of World Harvest Church Missions.  The day was soggy and wet, but the runners were in good spirits, and a good time was had by all.  The merchants displayed their logos on the banner, and donated coupons and items to the race goody bag.  Look for the event next year to have enhanced amenities and facilities for both pre-race and post race activities hosted at Sweet apple Village.
